Ashanti Miller is an industry animator who earned her B.F.A and M.F.A.
form the California Institute of the Arts and the Academy of Art University
respectively. She has worked for such studios as Warner Bros.,
Walt Disney Television and Spumco, culmination in an internship and
filmmaking contributor’s position at the Sesame Work where she earned her
first group Emmy nomination for Graphics for the 2009 season. For the 2010
season of The Electric Company she completed two 22 second public service
announcement films, which she continues to regard as her highest honor.
The recognition of her skills has inspired her to incorporate her
freelance entity Animatress into a non-profit where she can form a studio
of her own and work with talented artists of her choice.
Virginia “Gigi” Rabago-Hutchins is a brilliant post-modern painter and
photographer who is a graduate of the California College of Arts bachelor’s
program in photography in 1996. Gigi has curated student exhibitions,
photo journalism and collaborated with independent publishers in package
photography. Gigi’s talents are invaluable to the project at hand and her
work is sure to inspire the design for projects for years to come.
Jeffrey Boynton is a former investment banker who is kind enough to lend
time and talents to Animatress. He and Ashanti have been acquaintances for
eleven years and he has a keen eye for budgets as well as stocks that will
ensure the incorporation’s survival after it’s funded.
Peggy Von Burkeleo is an illustrator with a keen insight to the needs of
special needs and nuclear family children. She is the sage of Animatress and
keeps this organization of otherwise insulated group grounded. Because of
Peggy, our work is accessible to the world outside of the artist
